  1. Hello,
I followed with interest your video conference yesterday at/from the UNED in Madrid. The topic of teacher leadership is certainly not new, but remains relevant.
I'd like to come back to your Intervention which also highlighted a student ideal profile and the qualities of the teachers acting as leaders.

These qualities seems all very "personal" and I wonder if the environment in which teachers practices is not the primary factor explaining why teachers behave more like executives who give orders than as leaders who guides their learners to the knowledge and autonomy.

In Africa, for example, large classes and very modest salaries of teachers seems to be environmental factors that may seriously compromise the leadership expected of the teacher.

I think even in the U.S., correct me if I'm wrong, the conditions for exercising this profession are not always easy in all schools and colleges.

What do you think is the importance of environmental influences on teacher leadership?

    Best regards.
